’147, ’LS147
Encode 10-Line Decimal to 4-Line BCD
Applications Include:
− Keyboard Encoding
− Range Selection

’148, ’LS148
Encode 8 Data Lines to 3-Line Binary
(Octal)
Applications Include:
− n-Bit Encoding
− Code Converters and Generators

description/ordering information

These TTL encoders feature priority decoding of the inputs to ensure that only the highest-order data line is
encoded. The ’147 and ’LS147 devices encode nine data lines to four-line (8-4-2-1) BCD. The implied decimal
zero condition requires no input condition, as zero is encoded when all nine data lines are at a high logic level.
The ’148 and ’LS148 devices encode eight data lines to three-line (4-2-1) binary (octal). Cascading circuitry
(enable input EI and enable output EO) has been provided to allow octal expansion without the need for external
circuitry. For all types, data inputs and outputs are active at the low logic level. All inputs are buffered to represent
one normalized Series 54/74 or 54/74LS load, respectively.

HIGH GAIN BANDWIDTH PRODUCT: 1.6GHz
HIGH BANDWIDTH 275MHz (G = +10)
LOW INPUT OFFSET VOLTAGE: ±0.25mV
LOW INPUT BIAS CURRENT: 2pA
LOW INPUT VOLTAGE NOISE: 4.8nV/ Hz
HIGH OUTPUT CURRENT: 70mA
FAST OVERDRIVE RECOVERY

APPLICATIONS
WIDEBAND PHOTODIODE AMPLIFIER
WAFER SCANNING EQUIPMENT
ADC INPUT AMPLIFIER
TEST AND MEASUREMENT FRONT END
HIGH GAIN PRECISION AMPLIFIER

DESCRIPTION
The OPA657 combines a high gain bandwidth, low distortion,
voltage-feedback op amp with a low voltage noise JFET-input
stage to offer a very high dynamic range amplifier for high
precision ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) driving or wideband
transimpedance applications. Photodiode applications will see
improved noise and bandwidth using this decompensated,
high gain bandwidth amplifier.
Very low level signals can be significantly amplified in a single
OPA657 gain stage with exceptional bandwidth and accuracy.
Having a high 1.6GHz gain bandwidth product will give
> 10MHz signal bandwidths up to gains of 160V/V (44dB). The
very low input bias current and capacitance will support this
performance even for relatively high source impedances.
Broadband photodetector applications will benefit from the low
voltage noise JFET inputs for the OPA657. The JFET input
contributes virtually no current noise while for broadband
applications, a low voltage noise is also required. The low
4.8nV/ Hz input voltage noise will provide exceptional input
sensitivity for higher bandwidth applications. The example
shown below will give a total equivalent input noise current of
1.8pA/ Hz over a 10MHz bandwidth.

DESCRIPTION/
ORDERING INFORMATION
The LMV321, LMV358, and LMV324/LMV324S are
single, dual, and quad low-voltage (2.7 V to 5.5 V)
operational amplifiers with rail-to-rail output swing.
The LMV324S, which is a variation of the standard
LMV324, includes a power-saving shutdown feature
that reduces supply current to a maximum of 5 μA
per channel when the amplifiers are not needed.
Channels 1 and 2 together are put in shutdown, as
are channels 3 and 4. While in shutdown, the outputs
actively are pulled low.
The LMV321, LMV358, LMV324, and LMV324S are
the most cost-effective solutions for applications
where low-voltage operation, space saving, and low
cost are needed. These amplifiers are designed
specifically for low-voltage (2.7 V to 5 V) operation,
with performance specifications meeting or exceeding
the LM358 and LM324 devices that operate from 5 V
to 30 V. Additional features of the LMV3xx devices
are a common-mode input voltage range that
includes ground, 1-MHz unity-gain bandwidth, and 1-
V/μs slew rate.
The LMV321 is available in the ultra-small DCK (SC-
70) package, which is approximately one-half the size
of the DBV (SOT-23) package. This package saves
space on printed circuit boards and enables the
design of small portable electronic devices. It also
allows the designer to place the device closer to the
signal source to reduce noise pickup and increase
signal integrity.

LM3875

Overture™ Audio Power Amplifier Series
High-Performance 56W Audio Power Amplifier

General Description

The LM3875 is a high-performance audio power amplifier
capable of delivering 56W of continuous average power to
an 8Ω load with 0.1% THD+N from 20Hz to 20kHz.
The performance of the LM3875, utilizing its Self Peak Instantaneous
Temperature (°Ke) (SPiKe™) protection circuitry,
puts it in a class above discrete and hybrid amplifiers
by providing an inherently, dynamically protected Safe Operating
Area (SOA). SPiKe protection means that these
parts are completely safeguarded at the output against overvoltage,
undervoltage, overloads, caused by shorts to the
supplies, thermal runaway, and instantaneous temperature
peaks.
The LM3875 maintains an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of
greater than 95dB(min) with a typical low noise floor of
2.0μV. It exhibits extremely low THD+N values of 0.06% at
the rated output into the rated load over the audio spectrum,
and provides excellent linearity with an IMD (SMPTE) typical
rating of 0.004%.

Features
n 56W continuous average output power into 8Ω
n 100W instantaneous peak output power capability
n Signal-to-Noise Ratio >95dB (min)

Applications
n Component or compact stereos
n Self-powered speakers
